Research

I have partnered with colleagues to write open education resource (OER) textbooks for Biological Principles, Organismal Biology, and the Biology of Sex and Death, a course for non-science majors. These textbooks curate course readings and videos at no cost to students, while simultaneously providing on-point and course-specific content. My research examines metacognition, belonging in science, and the efficacy and usage of open education resources.
