Chrissy Spencer, soprano and viola da gambist, is a founding member of the Atlanta-based viol ensemble Consort Atlantica and the vocal ensemble Uncommon Practice. She can regularly be heard with the St. Bartholomew’s (Atlanta) Compline Schola during the academic year on 2nd and 4th Sundays at 8 pm ET. She plays and teaches viola da gamba and has organized workshops at the regional and national level to promote performance on viols and other early instruments. She is currently President of the Viola da Gamba Society of America, Vice President on the board of the Mountain Collegium, and Secretary of the Atlanta Early Music Alliance.
